Privacy Policy - Odakla
This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the Odakla app. By continuing to use the app, you accept the current version. We will notify you of material changes via the app or this site.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
The data controller is MKB Digital, the team that publishes Odakla (“we”). For questions and requests:

We may ask for additional information to verify your identity for formal requests. If you need a legal entity name or postal address, you may request it at the email above.
2. What information may be collected?
Information kept on your device
Timer settings, tasks, summary statistics, and app preferences are primarily stored only on your phone or tablet. If you do not create an account or use cloud features, this data does not leave your device.
When you create an account or sign in
You may sign in with email and password, Google, or Apple. We process account details (such as email and name) and technical data needed to keep your session secure. Google’s and Apple’s own terms apply to their sign-in methods.
Optional cloud features may use:
- Google (Firebase): Sign-in and, for some users, backup and sync of app data over the internet.
- Supabase: Your profile, Odakla ID (ODK-…), friends and requests, lounge presence, monthly summaries, and co-working sessions may be stored on secure servers.
If you do not use these features, those cloud records are not created for you.
Notifications
If you allow reminders, we send notifications when a session ends, using Apple (iOS/iPadOS) and Google (Android) notification services. A technical device identifier may be required for delivery.
3. How we use this information
- To run the app and manage your account
- To provide timer, tasks, and statistics
- To optionally sync data across devices via the cloud
- To provide profile, lounge, friends, and co-working features
- To send notifications you enable
- To protect security and support you
- To meet legal obligations
4. Legal basis (Turkey - KVKK)
Personal data is processed under Law No. 6698 (KVKK) to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, ensure secure operation, and where applicable with your explicit consent.
5. Who we share data with
MKB Digital does not operate all servers alone; we use trusted providers. We do not sell your data or use it to build ad profiles. Processors may include:
- Supabase - Account, profile, and social features; secure authentication.
- Google - Google sign-in; cloud data for some users; Android notification delivery.
- Apple - Apple sign-in and iOS/iPadOS notifications.
- Expo - Building and publishing the app; related production and distribution data.
Some providers may be located abroad; transfers are made in line with applicable law.
6. Retention
We keep data as long as needed to provide the service. If you close an account or a feature, we delete or anonymize within a reasonable time, except where the law requires retention.
7. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures against unauthorized access. No online system is risk-free; please use a strong password and device lock.
8. Your rights (KVKK)
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, in summary you may:
- Learn whether your data is processed
- Request information if processed
- Ask about purpose and whether use is lawful
- Learn recipients to whom data is transferred
- Request correction if inaccurate
- Request deletion when conditions apply
- Object to automated decisions
- Claim compensation for unlawful processing

9. Children
The app is not designed to knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are under 13, use the app only with a parent or guardian.
